Bob started his insurance career in Wichita, KS in 1970. In 1985, Bob brought his family to Springfield where he started with PJC as a commercial lines producer. In his current role as Sr. VP, he manages both the commercial and personal lines departments. He is still active in working with his commercial customers and future customers. Bob has been married to Anita for 43 years and has three children and seven grandchildren. Bob enjoys playing golf and fishing in bass tournaments.
Bob recently celebrated his 30th anniversary with PJC insurance.
John has been with PJC insurance since 1990. He is experienced in truck insurance coverage and manages accounts for both small and large fleet trucking insurance. John has 7 children and raises cattle on the side.
Suzie has over 20 years experience in the trucking industry and is on call 24/7 to answer questions, report claims and assist with any problems that might arise regarding claims. Suzie’s expertise is in Truck Compliance and Safety Regulations. She consults with customers on claim issues regarding liability, physical damage and cargo. Suzie is an active participant in animal rescue, a member of the Humane Society and Sierra Club and a Friend of the St. Louis Zoo.
Denise has specialized in the servicing of fleet insurance customers since 1993. She manages customer calls, makes account changes and issues certificates when requested. For fun, Denise loves to bowl with her son and husband and is on a local bowling team.
Glenda has served with PJC Insurance since 1986. With over 30 years in the insurance industry, Glenda has become a knowledgeable resource and proven her professional dedication and industry commitment. Glenda’s expertise is in liability, physical damage, cargo, and general liability for one truck or fleet accounts.
Patti has over 30 years’ experience and has been employed by PJC since 1989. She works hard to find the best fit for your truck insurance needs. In addition to helping clients, Patti is responsible for programming applications and forms for the trucking department. Patti puts her trust in God and family. She likes to spend time with her dogs and enjoys camping, off-roading, traveling and quilting.
Bonnie has been with PJC since 1994 and offers her clients over 24 years of expertise. Bonnie focuses on trucking operations from one unit to fleet operations running many units. In her spare time, Bonnie likes to bow hunt and fish. She embraces the outdoors and strives to enjoy life to its fullest each day.
Lisa has worked in the transportation insurance industry since 1996. She focuses on the insurance needs of smaller trucking accounts, 10 units and under. Lisa collects a range of insurance quotes for her clients in order to provide them with the most complete plan for the most reasonable price.
Cara has over 25 years experience in the trucking industry. She makes changes to equipment and driver policies and issues certificates to shippers. As a supervisor, Cara offers assistance and training to other customer service representatives and is available to answer questions as they arise. Cara is an active member of her community church and mother to three fabulous boys.
Jamie has over 13 years of experience in the trucking industry. She makes changes to equipment and drivers, audits policies and endorsements, and issues certificates to shippers. She also submits the Surplus Lines Tax to the states each month and is the back-up for the accounting department. Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.
Amanda’s father was a trucker when she was young, and is now a diesel mechanic, so she’s been involved in the trucking/transportation industry her whole life. She’s traveled a lot, and has great respect for truckers and their highway etiquette. She’s been with PJC insurance since 2001, and is eager to make vehicle and driver changes, send certificates, and answer questions. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.
I began my career with PJC Insurance in 2011 with over 10 years of experience in the finance and insurance industry. As an Account Executive for the co-owner of PJC Insurance, Lance Smith, I ensure that the needs of each of his clients are met promptly and efficiently. I also assist Lance with marketing renewal business as well new business submissions. I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors with my husband while gardening, walking, and playing disc golf as well as watching our 2 teenage boys play competitive baseball.
I quickly fell in love with The Ozarks and it's people soon after moving to Springfield in 2008. I came from a family of eight, raised on a farm in western Oklahoma, therefore my first experience in Trucking was hauling grain for my Dad during harvest through the wheat belt states, from the time I could drive. At one time, I worked as a CSR in personal lines insurance for six years, but the majority of my professional career has been in banking, finance, and accounting. I came to PJC in June of 2015. I enjoy developing personal relationships with the people I work with and the customers I serve.
I have 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren, all in Oklahoma. I enjoy numerous outdoor activities, working out, travel, live music, new adventures, and any opportunity to spend time with the people I love.
Vicky joined our team in May, 2016. She makes changes to equipment and driver policies and issues certificates to shippers.
Her father was a long time truck driver and dispatcher out of Oklahoma and her husband has been driving a truck for nearly 30 years.
Collectively, she and her husband have five childern and 11 precious children. She enjoys her family, friends, gardening, swimming and the sand and the sun.
She has served in the customer service field for over 30 years. She looks forward to serving the clients and co-workers of PJC Insurance Company.
Michael has been with PJC Insurance since 2002. He enjoys working with Community Banks, Not-for-Profit Organizations, Contractors, Manufacturers and many other types of Commercial Businesses. Michael and his family enjoy the area lakes for fishing and water sports. He is serving on the board at WebCo Custom Industries, which is the Sheltered Workshop for Webster County.
Larry has been in the commercial insurance business for over 33 years now. He has been with PJC since 1999. As a commercial lines producer, he focuses on the insurance needs of clients, such as manufacturers, contractors, wholesale and retail merchants, and tire dealers. He is a member of MAIA's Education Committee, and is active in his Church and the Knights of Columbus. His wife, Sheila, is a retired school teacher. They have three children and six grandchildren.
Justin Angel started his career with PJC Insurance in 2010. He enjoys working with many of the areas local businesses including ; Auto services, churches, and contractors. He has been married to his wife Heather for 13 years and they have one son named Evan. Justin is an avid outdoorsman and he loves fishing bass tournaments, camping, and hunting. He also loves music and has played and studied guitar and music theory for 20 years.
Blake Wixson started his career with PJC Insurance in December 2011. He is a graduate from Drury University in Springfield, MO. He played baseball for the Drury Panthers and continues to work with young pitchers on high school teams throughout the area. Blake is active in the community volunteering for the United Way. He is also the third generation of insurance agents in his family. His hobbies include golf, baseball, basketball, hunting and fishing.
Karla has 16 years of experience in the insurance industry and has been with PJC since 1996. She assists Bob Meek and Larry Jansen and takes care of all insurance needs for their customers promptly and efficiently. This involves making any changes needed, solving problems and answering questions about their coverage. Karla assists Bob and Larry with marketing renewal business as well as helping in any way she can with new business submissions. Karla enjoys working outside in her yard and shopping.
Tonya has over 30 years of experience in customer service with approximately 10 years in the insurance industry. She joined PJC Insurance in 2004 and left in 2007 to start a family business. We were pleased to welcome Tonya back to PJC Insurance in June of 2016. She enjoys working with people and is dedicated to helping you meet your insurance goals. Tonya loves spending time with family and friends cooking out or at the lake especially with her 2 wonderful sons and 4 beautiful grandchildren.
Theresa has worked in the insurance industry since 1997. She joined PJC in April 2012. She assists Bob Meek, Blake Wixson and Justin Angel with their customer’s policy questions and needs. Theresa enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and any kind of sports event.
Christy Watson joined PJC Insurance in December of 2015 with 10 years of commercial property and casualty insurance experience. She is dedicated to answering all of your questions, and promptly taking care of any changes or challenges you may face. When not at the office, Christy enjoys reading, collecting pop-culture nerdery, and watching movies with her fiancé and two children.
Melissa has worked in the insurance industry since 2001. She started as an agent in Arkansas, managing two satellite offices before starting her career with PJC in 2005. Melissa’s primary focus has been on personal lines, which involves writing insurance for clients’ most valued assets, their homes and automobiles. She loves working with people and enjoys getting to know each one of her customers. Melissa likes to cook, enjoys the outdoors and loves to spend time with her husband and three wonderful children.
Christy has been with PJC since 2007 where she started out as a receptionist. She transitioned to personal lines in June of 2008. Christy specializes in assisting customers with all issues related to home and auto insurance. Her friendly and caring personality is an asset when helping customers with these needs. For the past two years, she has also assisted the personal lines department with sales. Christy enjoys many outdoor activities, singing in her church choir and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Connie is the point person for service and management of all client needs in the Corporate Health department.
Her tasks include marketing, underwriting assistance, customer service and ongoing contract support.
She brings over 15 years’ experience to her duties along with a high level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
Andy began his career in the health insurance industry after graduating from Missouri State University in 2005. He became endorsed by Dave Ramsey in 2012 for his experience in the insurance field. In his role at PJC, Andy manages groups to help find them the best health insurance coverage for their business. In his free time, Andy enjoys golfing, barbecuing and spending time outdoors with his wife Shelley and two children.
Kay joined PJC’s accounting department in February 1988. She does various accounting duty’s including accounts payable, reconciling of agency & direct bill statements, answers invoicing questions, and the back up for accounts receivable. Kay enjoys spending time with her family, genealogy, working jigsaw puzzles, and traveling.
I was in banking for 18 years; 16 of those in branch management to include business development, team building, and providing excellent customer service. I love working with people and making sure that they feel important and taken care of during every interaction.
I left banking for PJC Insurance in May of 2015 because I knew that Lance and Raylene are amazing people and are passionate about their company, clients, and employees.
I enjoy spending time with my husband of 14 years and our two young children. My focus is to enjoy their childhood and make memories each and every day that will last a lifetime.
Wanda joined PJC Insurance in 2003. Her primary focus includes managing the computer and telephone systems, as well as the office equipment. She likes to travel, enjoys the outdoors, walking, and spending time with her husband, two children, and four awesome grandchildren.
Janet Nothnagel is a graduate of Willard High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance and General Business, as well as a minor in Insurance from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. Janet continues to complete insurance courses covering many insurance topics to further knowledge in the industry.
She has been employed with PJC Insurance for over 30 years where she currently is Executive Agency Coordinator, Life and Health Producer, and Property Manager. She is responsible for selling Medicare Products and Senior Products for the agency.
Her record of service to the insurance industry includes such positions as President, Vice President, Secretary, Board Member, Education Chair, and has lead numerous committees for the Insurance Assocation of the Ozarks and Ozarks I-Day. She also served as Missouri State Concil Director of NAIW for three years.
Janet has served as Board Director for Ozarks Insurance Day and Willard Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Female Leaders in Philanthropy Suit Yourself Committee and serves on the United Way Campaign Committee. She also serves as secretary for the Greene County Republican Target Board of Directors and is a member of GC Central Committee.
Jane and her husband, Norm, have been married for 23 years and live on an 80-acre walnyt farm near Willard, Missouri. They are members of Willard First Baptist Church where they serve in various capacities. They enjoy fishing, spending time outdoors, gardening, and watching wildlife.
